How the QuickStage Free Trial Works: 3 Photos, No Card

The QuickStage free trial is 3 staged photos and 1 QuickFix for an email address, no account or card. How to upload, which photos to test and what to check.

tryquickstage.com is run by QuickStage.

The QuickStage free trial gives you 3 staged photos and 1 QuickFix correction for $0, and the only thing we ask for is an email address: no account, no password, no credit card. You upload a photo of an empty room, pick the room type and a design style, and each staged photo is ready in about 30 seconds and emailed to you. Delivered photos carry no watermark.

Three photos are enough to tell whether QuickStage fits the way you market listings, as long as you pick the right three. This guide covers what the trial includes, which photos to test, the upload steps, and what to check before a staged photo goes on a listing.

A few things the table doesn't show:

  • Interiors and exteriors both count. A trial photo can be any room type we stage, or an exterior. One credit covers either, with no surcharge.
  • QuickFix is separate from your three photos. If the AI gets something wrong, you describe the problem in plain words and that photo re-renders with the correction applied. A QuickFix never uses a staging credit.
  • Your photos stay put. The download link in your delivery email doesn't expire, and you can re-download anytime, free. Every photo you stage is also saved to your photo library, which you open with your email and a sign-in link we send you.
  • There's nothing to cancel. The trial never asks for a card.

Which three photos should you test?

Three photos can answer three different questions if you don't spend them all on the same easy room. Our rule of thumb is hero, hard, wildcard. It's QuickStage's own checklist, not an industry standard.

  • Photo 1 is your hero. The room that leads the listing, often the main living area. If you wouldn't publish this one, the other two don't matter.
  • Photo 2 is your hard room. A small bedroom, an odd-shaped room, or one broken up by doors and windows. An easy room tells you very little.
  • Photo 3 is your wildcard. A different kind of space from the first two: a kitchen, a bathroom, a garage, or a daytime front-of-home photo if you want to see an exterior treatment.
  • Every room is empty. We only stage empty rooms and never remove existing furniture, so a furnished room isn't a fair test.
  • Every photo comes from a real listing. Use shots you'd actually publish, taken the way you or your photographer normally shoot.
  • The camera is level and the floor shows. Furniture has to sit on visible floor, and a tilted frame makes everything in it look off.
  • The light is even. Daylight, no blown-out windows, no dark corners.
  • It's the best copy you have. Upload the original file, not a screenshot or an image saved from a listing site. Detail lost before upload can't be put back.

Pick one style for the interiors, as you would for a real listing, so you're judging rooms and not comparing styles.

How do you upload your three free photos?

  1. Open the QuickStage homepage and upload your photo. Use a shot of a vacant or empty room.
  2. Pick the room type. The choices are living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, dining room, office, laundry room, closet, garage, other and exterior.
  3. Pick a design style. Interiors come in modern, Scandinavian, luxury, farmhouse, industrial, bohemian, traditional and shabby chic. For an exterior you choose a treatment instead: Curb Appeal, where dull skies become natural blue, tired lawns green up and the lighting is balanced, or Twilight, which turns a daytime shot into a dusk photo with warm glowing windows.
  4. Enter your email address. It's the only thing we ask for. Use an inbox you can open on the spot: we use email instead of passwords, so your results and any sign-in link we send land there.
  5. Click Stage and confirm your choices. We show you the room type and style for each photo to review before anything is generated.
  6. Confirm your email the first time. To keep free trials fair, we confirm a new email address with a one-time link. Open it from your inbox; it takes about 20 seconds, and we remember that browser for 30 days.
  7. Get your photo. Your staged photo appears in about 30 seconds and is also emailed to you, so there's no need to wait on the site.
  8. Download the result. Then do the same for your other two photos. Each photo gets its own room type and style.

What should you check before you publish the result?

Put the staged photo next to the original and check three things.

  • The room is still the room. Walls, windows, floors, doors and anything else attached to the house should match the original. Staging should add furniture and decor, nothing more. On an exterior, our treatments are built to leave the structure, siding, roofline and camera angle alone; confirm that they did.
  • The furniture makes sense. Look for things like art hung across a window, furniture against the wrong wall or a plant blocking a doorway.
  • It's labeled. Mark the image as virtually staged wherever it runs, and keep the original.

If a photo misses on either of the first two, that's what your QuickFix is for. Open the photo on your results page, click QuickFix and type what to change. Name the item and where it should go: "move the bed to the other wall" or "take the picture off the window." The trial includes one, so spend it on the photo you most want to publish.

Labeling is more than good manners. In California, Business and Professions Code §10140.8 has, since January 1, 2026, required a broker or salesperson who advertises a property for sale with a digitally altered image to include a statement that the image was altered, plus a link, URL or QR code to the original, unaltered image. This isn't legal advice; check your MLS and broker, because your MLS may have its own labeling rule.

And never use staging to hide a defect. If the original photo shows damage, the answer is a repair or a disclosure, not a sofa.

What happens after the three free photos?

Nothing happens automatically. There's no card on file, so nothing renews and nothing is charged. If you want to keep staging, there are two ways to pay (prices as of October 2026):

  • Pay as you go: $1 per photo. No subscription. You buy 1 to 50 photos at a time, and those credits don't expire. For example, staging 8 photos of a vacant listing costs $8.
  • Monthly plans from $19.99. Basic includes 75 staged photos and 7 QuickFix corrections a month, which works out to about $0.27 per photo. Larger plans go as low as $0.13 per photo, or $0.11 on the annual Agency plan (billed yearly). Plan credits reset every month, and you can cancel anytime with no contract.

At 20 or more photos a month, Basic costs less than paying $1 each; below that, pay as you go wins. Every plan is listed under QuickStage plans and per-photo rates.

Bottom line

The QuickStage free trial is 3 staged photos and 1 QuickFix correction for an email address, with no account and no card. Spend the three on a hero room, a hard room and a wildcard, compare each result with the original, use the QuickFix on the one that matters most, and label what you publish. By the third photo you'll know whether QuickStage belongs in your listing workflow.

Frequently asked questions

How does the QuickStage free trial work?

You get 3 staged photos and 1 QuickFix correction for $0. Enter an email address (no account and no credit card; we confirm a new address once with an emailed link), upload a photo of an empty room, and pick the room type and a design style. Each staged photo is ready in about 30 seconds and is emailed to you.

Do I need a credit card or an account for the QuickStage free trial?

No. The trial only requires an email address, which is where we deliver your results. We confirm a new address once with a one-time link. There is no account, password or credit card, so there is nothing to cancel afterward.

Are QuickStage free trial photos watermarked?

No. Delivered photos have no watermark. We still recommend labeling every staged photo as virtually staged wherever you publish it, and keeping the original.

What if one of my free photos comes out wrong?

Use the QuickFix that comes with the trial. Open the photo on your results page, click QuickFix and describe what to change, such as moving the bed to the other wall. The photo re-renders with that correction, and it doesn't use a staging credit.

Can I use a free trial photo on an exterior?

Yes. One credit covers an interior room or an exterior, with no surcharge. For an exterior you choose Curb Appeal, which enhances a daytime front-of-home photo, or Twilight, which converts a daytime exterior into a dusk shot with warm glowing windows.

What does QuickStage cost after the three free photos?

As of October 2026, pay-as-you-go is $1 per photo with no subscription; you buy 1 to 50 photos at a time and those credits don't expire. Monthly plans start at $19.99 for 75 photos and go as low as $0.13 per photo, or $0.11 on the annual Agency plan billed yearly.
